For Team Leaders FAQ

Let’s Turn Group Time Into Growth Time.

  • The Convo Leader is the person who launches the session and helps guide the team through the experience. They don’t need to be an expert facilitator—their role is simply to be familiar with the flow, know what activities are coming, and keep the conversation moving.

While the team leader can take on this role, they don’t have to. Assigning a team member as the Convo Leader can be a great way to build ownership and engagement.

The Convo itself does most of the heavy lifting. The Convo Leader just keeps an eye on timing, knows how to access the digital activities, and helps the team stay on track.

Convo Leaders should receive the 1-page guide that’s emailed to the account owner after purchase. This quick reference helps them prepare for the session.

  • Each Convo includes a 1-page PDF called the Convo Leader Quick Guide. This guide helps the Convo Leader understand their role and provides a checklist of items to review ahead of the session.

Convo Leader Guides were emailed to the account owner when the Convo was purchased. They are also available by clicking into a Convo in your Convo Library, where a notification will prompt you to access the guide.

  • You don’t need to be an expert. The Convo does the heavy lifting with built-in facilitation, prompts, and clear instructions. Your role is to set the tone, create space for participation, and keep the conversation flowing.

We highly recommend selected a team member to be the Convo Leader for each session. A guide was emailed to the account owner that will give the Convo Leader a heads up on details and options for the experience.

    Here are few additional tips:

    • Start with intention. Let the team know why you’re doing this and what you hope to gain together.

    • Encourage voices. Invite everyone to share, but don’t force it. Some may warm up as the session goes on.

    • Be real. Model openness by sharing your own thoughts. It helps others do the same.

    • Follow the flow. Use the video, pause points, and activity guides, they’re built to keep things on track.

Most importantly, enjoy it. These conversations are meant to bring your team closer and spark growth in real time.

  • Not at all. You don’t need a background in facilitation to lead a great session. Each Convo is designed with built-in guidance, prompts, and clear instructions to walk your team through the experience.

Your job isn’t to have all the answer, it’s to create a space where your team can think, share, and connect. If you can press play, ask a few questions, and listen with curiosity, you’ve got what it takes.

  • The good news is, the Convo is built to keep things interactive and engaging. But a little leadership goes a long way.

Here are a few tips to boost engagement:

    • Set the tone early. Let your team know this is meant to be a real conversation, not just another meeting.

    • Use the pause points. These moments are built in to spark discussion. Leverage them, but move on when the team is ready.

    • Encourage participation. Invite different voices, ask follow-up questions, and create space for honest input.

    • Stay flexible. If the conversation takes a meaningful turn, follow it. You’re not on a script, you’re creating value.

Most importantly, be present. Your energy and openness set the pace for everyone else.

  • Each Convo purchase includes a single team license, which means it’s designed for use with one team during the 60-day access window.

If you’d like to use the Convo with multiple teams or across your organization, reach out to us at support@teamxp.co. We’d be happy to help you find the best option.

  • The real impact of TeamXP shows up in the quality of your team’s conversation during the session. The simplest and most powerful metric is this: Did your team have a meaningful conversation?

Consistent, meaningful conversation does more to improve team performance than almost any other factor—and that’s exactly what TeamXP is built to deliver.

If you’re interested in a more structured approach, we’re currently inviting teams to participate in research opportunities that help capture insights, track progress, and shape the future of our platform for even greater impact. Let us know at support@teamxp.co if you’d like to be involved.

Team Session Success FAQ

Tips, Tricks, and a Little TeamXP Mojo.

  • A little prep goes a long way in making your Convo experience impactful. Here’s how to set your team up for success:

    • Set the stage. Let your team know what to expect, this isn’t a training, it’s a conversation. The goal is reflection, insight, and connection.

    • Block focused time. Schedule the session so everyone can be fully present, whether you’re in-person or virtual.

    • Limit distractions. Ask team members to close laptops, silence notifications, and be ready to engage.

    • Create a safe space. Encourage openness and remind your team there are no wrong answers, just honest dialogue.

    • Review the Convo Leader guide. If you’re leading the session (or assigning someone who is), skim the 1-page guide sent after purchase to feel ready and confident.

With just a little intention up front, your team will be ready to dive in and get the most out of the experience.

  • The ideal size is your entire team! Convos are built to include everyone.

If you’re working with a larger group, don’t worry—many Convos include prompts and suggestions for when it might be helpful to break into smaller groups for certain activities or discussions. The goal is to make sure every voice has a chance to be heard.

  • Convos are designed to do the heavy lifting to help your team get there. But a few small actions on your part can make a big difference:

    • Don’t force it. You can invite people in, but you can’t make the conversation meaningful for them. Focus on creating a space that feels safe, open, and worth showing up for.

    • Be present. Create space where your team can focus, no multitasking, no distractions.

    • Model openness. Share your thoughts honestly. When leaders go first, others feel safe to follow.

    • Use the prompts. The Convo includes powerful questions and activities to spark real dialogue, lean into them.

    • Listen more than you talk. Encourage curiosity. Ask follow-up questions. Let the conversation breathe.

    • Trust the process. Even if things start slow, teams often find their rhythm after a few minutes. Stick with it.

  • Yes! You can pause a Convo at any time and pick it back up whenever it works for your team.

If you have to close it out and retunr later, use the purple menu button on the right side of the screen to jump to any section and resume right where you left off.

  • The unique thing about Convos is that the goal isn’t to walk away with a list of action items, it’s to have a meaningful conversation. When that happens, the right actions and connections tend to follow naturally.

The best next step? Plan your next meaningful conversation. Talk as a team about which topic feels most relevant or intriguing, and keep the momentum going. Growth happens one great conversation at a time.
